Winner of the 2025 Academy Award for Best Animate Feature Film, Flow follows Cat, a solitary animal, after its home is devastated by a great flood.  He finds refuge on a boat with various other species that would not normally live well in close proximity. If they are to survive however, they must find a way to work together. The film is bookended by animal characters seeing themselves in the mirror-like reflectiveness of a puddle of water. The journey that separates the two pensive scenes is the sea between individualism and community. Told with a beautiful score and innovative animation (but no words), this is a message for our times.
